The YMCA of Coastal Georgia is launching Priceless Gifts, its’ annual community support campaign.

This year, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia hopes to raise $562,000. Funds raised will support a parent with after-school care, enroll a pre-diabetic in the Y Diabetes Prevention Program, provide a child with swimming lessons and give an individual the chance to begin his or her path to a healthier self.

Financial gifts to the Y will help advance programming and services that locally support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Gifts to the YMCA of Coastal Georgia make a direct impact on residents in the Coastal Empire.

“We all need the Y because our organization works every day to nurture the potential of kids, improve health and well-being and help neighbors support one another,” said Rachel Meuser Bowman, director of development for YMCA of Coastal Georgia. “With our community support campaign, we want more people to understand that we are more than where to go to exercise or swim — and that we rely on their financial support to do our vital work.”

Last year, financial support helped kids have a safe place to learn and build confidence after school and provided individuals with access to training and education.

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia operates 12 units, in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Liberty, McIntosh and now Glynn counties.
