The Long County codes director position has been vacant since mid-August 2017 following the retirement of John Bradley, but the Long County Board of Commissioners is expected to decide on his replacement during a called meeting set for Dec. 22.
According to County Administrator Franklin Etheridge, the county has been actively seeking a successor and has gone through two rounds of advertising for the position. Commissioners interviewed three candidates: Gregg Higgins and John Bradley, both of Hinesville, and S. Kimberly Corbin of Savannah.
Commissioners will make their choice Dec. 22.
