The 2017 Long County Christmas Parade map. The parade gets under way at 2 p.m. and will be followed by the Christmas festival at 3 p.m. and a tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to enter the parade unless you plan on entering a float to compete for cash prizes. The annual Long County Christmas parade is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. The theme is "Songs of the Season."

The parade will be followed at 3 by a Christmas festival. The tree lighting is at 6:30.

Organized by the Long County Chamber of Commerce, there is no entry fee to be in the parade.

There is a $25 competition entry fee for anyone who wants to enter a float in the parade competition for cash prizes. A copy of the entry form is available at www.coastalcourier.com.
