Long County investigation yields arrests

During the search evidence was seized, and three suspects from Glennville were arrested without incident.

The Long County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit initiated an investigation into the manufacture and sale of illegal drugs in August 2016.

Narcotics investigators gathered evidence, and obtained a search warrant for a residence in the sand hills community.

Based on their findings LCSO narcotics investigators, led by Sgt. Austin McGinn served a search warrant on a home on Porter Cox Road this past Thursday.

 During the search evidence was seized, and three suspects from Glennville were arrested without incident.

After obtaining arrest warrants all three suspects were booked and jailed.

Jihad B. Binks, 27, has been charged with possession of cocaine, theft by receiving stolen property (felony), and possession of marijuana (misdemeanor).

Veronica P. Boatright, 51, has been charged with trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of illegal drugs, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Keith D. Kennedy, 35, has been charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking in illegal drugs, and possession of marijuana (misdemeanor).
