Ludowici Christmas parade draws crowd
1 Smiley Elementary took the top spot in the business category for Christmas Parade

With temperatures in the mid-80s Saturday, it didn’t feel like winter in Long County, but the balmy weather did help draw a crowd to the 2015 Ludowici/Long County Christmas Parade.

With more than 50 entries taking part, there was plenty of candy thrown to onlookers as they cheered each passing float.
This year, the winning float in the business category was Smiley Elementary School, while the runner-up was the entry from the Future Farmers of America.

In the church category, the winner was Jones Creek Baptist Church. Second place went to Ludowici United Methodist Church. Honorable mentions went to the Kadee’s Korner and Sticky Limb entries.

The parade was sponsored by the Long County Chamber of Commerce. The emcees were Tammy Balance and Charlie Smith.
