Long County commissioners recently recognized Charlotte McGinn, the secretary for the Long County extension office, for being honored by the University of Georgia. Chairman Robert Long said that McGinn was selected as the Secretary of the Year for the Southeastern district of the Georgia Cooperative Extension. Long said that McGinn winning the award was quite an accomplishment, considering that there are 39 counties in the district. On behalf of the other commissioners and the citizens of Long County, the chairman congratulated McGinn and told her that she was a valuable asset to the community.
