Motorists take note. There’s a new stop sign at the intersection of Westfield Road and Holmestown Road.
In the past, drivers only had to stop on Westfield Road. But with the addition of a stop sign on Holmestown Road, that intersection is now an “all-way stop,” according to county engineer Trent Long. The new stop sign is part of a realignment of the intersection. Holmestown Road is about a mile east of the Highway 84 overpass common referred to as McIntosh Mountain.
A message board will also warn drivers of the new stop sign.
