Long County High School was briefly on lockdown Monday morning after a mother called to report her daughter might have had a gun at school.

No gun was found according to Long County Schools Superintendent Dr. Robert Waters.

Waters said the school followed normal protocol and the lockdown was lifted prior to the beginning of second period.
