Osteen named state court judge

Hinesville attorney Jeffrey Osteen was appointed state court judge to replace Leon Braun Jr., according to a press release issued March 21 by Gov. Nathan Deal.

Osteen will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Braun. The appointment will take effect upon swearing in.

Osteen is an attorney with Jones Osteen & Jones in Hinesville. He also serves as Liberty County solicitor-general. Osteen earned a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University and a law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.
