Political forum set for April 29

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will host a political candidate forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the Shuman Recreation Center in Hinesville, 800 Tupelo Trail.
Candidates in contested races will speak and answer questions asked by a moderator. In county commission races, Jack E. Waters is running against incumbent Marion Stevens Sr., and Mike Arnold opposes incumbent Connie L. Thrift. In a board of education race, candidates Lillie (Readie) Kelly and Marcus Scott IV will face off for a seat. Audience members’ submitted questions will be screened before the event.
