Shelter in place order issued

Liberty County officials have now issued a shelter in place order for residents who did not evacuate.

As Hurricane Matthew inched its way up the coast from mid Florida, the officials issued increasingly dire evacuation orders.

At about 4:30 p.m. Friday, however, the officials told residents who have not left that they should stay in place, preferably a permanent sturdy structure. They discourage any travel and reminded that a curfew will be in effect from dusk to dawn tonight and Saturday.
