A man has been flown by helicopter to Savannah's Memorial Medical Center after he was shot Sunday night in Long County.

Long County Sheriff's Office Detective. Tom Solosi said the man was standing outside a home in the 500 block of Woods Circle near Highway 196 when someone drove by and shot at him from the vehicle around 8:30 p.m.,, then drove away. The victim, who has not been identified, was hit in the right leg. His condition is unknown. 

Authorities have a "person of interest" in the shooting, Solosi said.
