The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will host a Progress Through People Luncheon at noon Thursday at Connection Church on Patriots Trail in Flemington. The event will be sponsored by CH2M.
The luncheon will feature Mayor Jim Thomas’ State of Hinesville Address. The speech will focus on recent local issues and the development of the city and give an update on the city’s fiscal situation. The luncheon will conclude the festivities centered on Georgia Cities Week, which began Sunday and runs through Saturday.
“Our city reflects our heritage and our differences; it is a special mixture of cultures and people that make our state the wonderful place that it has become. Hinesville is one of those special places in Georgia,” Thomas said. “To hear just how special, please attend our State of the City address as we discuss current and future plans for Hinesville.”
The cost to attend is $15 for chamber members and $20 for nonmembers. RSVP by Tuesday by calling 912-368-4445 or emailing assist
