In the upcoming 2015 election, Liberty County wants to put the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) back on the ballot after a measure to renew it was defeated in last year's midterm election. The tax officially expired March 31, meaning the sales tax in Liberty County is now 6 percent, 1 percent lower than surrounding counties.

Even though SPLOST had been around since the 1990s, there is still a lot of misinformation about what SPLOST is and what it funds in Liberty County. This is your opportunity to ask any questions you may have about SPLOST and how the county is looking to spend it if it is approved.

Donald Lovette, chairman of the Liberty County Board of Commissioners, will answer your questions on our Liberty Talks show April 27. Fill out the form at the link below, and we may use your question in the episode.
