A man shot Sunday night in Long County is out of the hospital, authorities say, but he’s apparently not helping investigators find whoever it was who shot him.

Luis Enrique Hernandez, 29, was the victim of an apparent drive-by shooting while standing outside a home in the 500 block of Woods Circle. Hernandez was hit once in the leg, according to an incident report from Long County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Aaron

Combs. The report said a caller to 911 claimed a suspect “fled the scene in a dark blue Chevrolet Blazer.”
ez alert shortly before 8:30 p.m., laying on the ground with “approximately 25-30 bystanders” nearby. The deputy asked both the victim and several bystanders if they knew who shot Hernandez and they all said no, the report said.

The deputy provided first aid until EMS arrived.

Hernandez was flown by helicopter to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, according to Long County Sheriff’s Office Det. Tom

Sollosi, who described Hernandez as being “uncooperative” with authorities.
Sollosi said Hernandez was involved in a “retaliatory incident” Monday in Glennville. The detective said he’s interviewed a number of people and has an idea what happened, but doesn’t have “a victim to corroborate the investigation.”
