The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon was televised on Monday, Sept. 3 on Savannah’s Channel WSAV.
Liberty County had several local sponsors who raised money. And some were represented at the telethon.
Snelson-Golden Middle School raised more than $2,600 for MDA’s Shamrocks-Against-Dystrophy Program.
Lowe’s, and its district, raised $4,426 for the Shamrocks-Against-Dystrophy Program.
The Heritage Bank raised more than $1,400 for the Shamrocks-Against-Dystrophy Program. While the bank did not attend, they were announced at the telethon.
Ryan Gorden, who has been a MDA camper for several years and is from Hinesville, was also be at the Telethon.
