Police officers from across the state, family members and residents from Ludowici, Long County and the surrounding communities gathered Wednesday afternoon for the funeral service of Ludowici Police Chief Frank McClelland Jr. 

First Baptist Church Ludowici, Reverend Eric Rentz said McClelland, who he affectionately called "Little Frank," will always be remembered as the calm person in the midst of chaotic moments who treated everyone fairly, justly and always placed others before self.
