92nd Checmical Co. coming home

FORT STEWART - The 92nd Chemical Company, Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, is returning to Fort Stewart from Kuwait. The unit's Welcome Home ceremony is to take place Friday on Cottrell Field.

The ceremony was to be Friday morning.

The company's 123 Soldiers are coming home after a 15-month deployment to Kuwait. 92nd Chemical Company Soldiers served as primary chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear detection and decontamination trainers for nearly 2,700 Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen. They also provided security alongside the US Secret Service for high-profile visitors to Kuwait including former President of the United States, George W. Bush; then Presidential Nominee, Barak Obama; then Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice and then Multi-National Forces-Iraq Commander, General David Petraeus.
