Air Force Airman Dnetric D. Gatling graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Gatling is the son of Tamika Strickland of Hinesville.
He is a 2009 graduate of Meade Senior High School in Fort Meade, Md.

Johnson returns from deployment
Army Staff Sgt. Nathaniel B. Johnson has returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Johnson is a battalion communications team chief assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military for 14 years.
He is the son of Julius Johnson of Hinesville.
The staff sergeant is a 1998 graduate of Blackduck High School in Minnesota.
