HAAF Youth Sports
Registration begins Monday and continues until July 31 for Youth Sports fall soccer at Hunter Army Airfield. For ages 4-13. Participants develop skills, character while having fun, learning from a certified NYSCA coach. Games played at HAAF Sports Complex, local YMCA and the Jewish Educational Alliance. July 4 celebrations
The public is invited to join Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield military personnel and their Families in celebrating Independence Day.

The Hunter celebration begins at 8:30 p.m. Monday at Family Day Field. The 3rd ID band will play, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.

Fort Stewart will have a Salute to the Nation ceremony starting at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cottrell Field. The 3rd ID band will play patriotic music prior to a 50-gun salute (one round for each of the 50 states) as a brief history is given. Following the artillery salute, a fireworks display will light up the night sky and bring the celebration to a close.

Grills, pets, glass bottles and weapons are strictly prohibited on Family Day Field at Hunter and on the Quick Track, Newman and Cottrell Field at Stewart. For more information, call 912-315-5078 (Hunter) or 912-767-6212 (Stewart).

Pools open July 4
The Corkan outdoor pool on Fort Stewart and the Hunter outdoor pool will be open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4. The pools will be closed on Thursday (July 6) instead of Tuesday July 4.

Bowling league
The Eight for Eight Bowling League at Marne Bowling Center, building 402, is open to everyone who wants to learn how to bowl. Starting July 8 from 10 a.m. until noon, and continuing through Aug. 26, participants will bowl two games on Saturday mornings.

The cost is $8 per session,  At the end of the program, participants receive their own bowling ball. For more details, call 912-767-4273.
