Fort Stewart was one of four Army installations chosen by the secretary of the Army and the chief of staff to make presentations on the Army community covenant at the Association of the United States Army convention last week.
Maj. Gen. Tony Cucolo, garrison commander Col. Todd Buchs, SSgt. Cory Casto, his wife, Kara, their four children, and Savannah media personality Bill Cathcart attended the Washington, D.C., convention.
In addition to touting its ties to Fort Stewart's neighboring communities, the group, especially the Casto family, emphasized the Army's increased attention to family.
A spokesman said the Fort Stewart delegation delivered a full spectrum multi-visual presentation at the convention.
Others chosen were Fort Hood, the Minnesota National Guard and the 108th Training Division of Charlotte, N.C.
