He is the son of Arnold R. Walker of Ludowici.

Army Pfc. Camilo A. Lopez has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus.

Lopez graduated from Liberty County High School in 2011. He is the son of Dean and Luz Starnes of Iron Mountain, Mich.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Holli M. Smith recently was promoted to her current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Smith is a 2012 graduate of Long County High School. She is the daughter of Petra G. and Richard C. Smith of Ludowici.

Buckle graduates from basic training

Air Force Airman Ramon S. Buckle recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

Buckle is a 2011 graduate of Bradwell Institute. He is the son of Paula Brown of Hinesville.
