IG graduate
Army Sgt. 1st Class Alonzo M. Cook has graduated from the Army Inspector General Course at Fort Belvoir, Fairfax, Virginia.
The three-week course is required for all soldiers and civilians selected to serve as Army inspectors general.
Cook is the son of April L. and Vernon A. Cook Sr. of Cape Coral, Florida, and brother of Vernon A. Cook Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He is a 2003 graduate of Liberty County High School.
Four finish airman basic training
Four people with ties to Liberty County have graduated from U.S. Air Force basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas:
• Airman Ja’nea T. White, the daughter of Sheryl Y. and Omar S. White, and sister of Taisha S. White, all of Hinesville. She is a 2015 graduate of Liberty County High School.
• Airman Demetrius T. McIver, the son of Nellie F. and Reginald E. McIver Sr. of Hubert, North Carolina, and brother of Reginald E. McIver Jr. of Hinesville. He is a 2015 graduate of Swansboro (North Carolina) High School.
• Airman 1st Class Amber M. McDaniel, the daughter of Anthony T. McDaniel Sr. of Hinesville and Tambra G. Robinson of Columbus. She is a 2009 graduate of Spencer High School in Columbus.
• Airman Andrew A. Kilgore, the son of Robert H. Kilgore of Phenix City, Alabama, Clara E. Woodland of St. Robert, Missouri, and Timothy O. Woodland of Hinesville. He graduated in 2016 from Liberty County High School.
The airmen completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science through the Community College of the Air Force.
