Neighborhood center honors veterans on Fourth

Senior Citizens Inc. (SCI) kicked off the July 4 holiday weekend on Friday, June 30, with a celebration of seniors independence and a recognition of veterans whose sacrifice made independence for all possible. The celebration included the delivery of greeting cards and American flags donated by local United Healthcare Insurance offices, to nearly 500 Meals On Wheels clients in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, and Effingham counties by SCI staff and volunteers. The Hinesville event included performances of patriotic music by local musicians and the presentation of certificates to honor veterans and their spouses by active and retired military personnel Retired Col.
