Some military families around Fort Stewart have good news: Most of the 3rd Infantry Division's 4th Brigade will be home from Iraq for the holidays.

The Army confirmed Tuesday that 150 members of the brigade's "torch party," are to arrive at Fort Stewart prior to Thanksgiving. "Advance party" members, about 350 soldiers, will return the first week of December.

The main body of soldiers is set to return between Dec. 12 and Dec. 23.

Another 200, mostly assigned to the brigade after it had deployed to Iraq, will remain in Kuwait until after Christmas to assist with loading equipment for transport back to the U.S.
