The Liberty County branch of the NAACP hosted a political forum Oct. 8.
Guests included Midway City Council candidates Levern Clancy Jr., Jim H. Woods, Terry Doyle, Melice Hamilton and Curtes H. Roberts Sr., and mayoral candidate Clemontine Washington. The forum provided an opportunity for community members to hear the candidates’ points of view on growth, development, annexing, budget spending and employment.
The forum panelists were Liberty County NAACP branch President Liston Singletary III and First Vice President Dwight Newbould. The moderator was Secretary Valerie Singletary. Other NAACP members were on hand to assist with the program.
The Liberty County branch of the NAACP coordinators plan to host more forums soon to help inform voters.
