NAACP to host meeting for Veterans

The Liberty County Branch of the NAACP will host a Community Mass Meeting Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m.at Beach Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 4196 Coastal Hwy 17 North, in Midway.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform Veterans and their spouses about changes that have been implemented by the Veterans Affairs office. The Georgia NAACP State Military and Veterans Affairs chairman, John C. Littles, will be the guest speaker.  Littles will address the recently reported rise in women Veterans’ homelessness, spouses’ burial support, PTSD, benefits, jobs, and education resources that are available to all veterans and spouses.  

The Community Mass Meeting will also have a question and answer section with a panel. The panel will advise veterans and spouses how to file claims regarding disability benefits.
