There were two reasons for celebration at Fort Morris Wednesday, the observance of the Declaration of Independence of the United States and the expansion of the hours of the historic site. Fort Morris is now open five days each week: Wednesday through Sunday. In this photo re-enactors portray the three Georgia signers of the Declaration; George Walton, Button Gwinnett and Lyman Hall. When not re-enacting, the three are David Roberts of Savannah, George Strickland of Ray City and Jacob Edgar of Fort Morris.
