Almost too cold to fish

Hello, friends and fisherman. Tight Line Jr., here. Well, with all the cold weather this week there was not much fishing going on, but I do have one good report from some good ol’ boys that came all the way from Tattnall County.

These boys, I’ll call them ‘Plumb Bob’ and ‘Bubble Gum,’ were out fishing at Shellmans Bluff and landed 13 gator trout, 25 sheepshead and one spot tail bass.

My good buddy, ‘Big Jimmy’ got himself a new fishing boat last week. He went down to Sunbury to put her in for a test run. By the time he came back in, he had three sheepshead big enough to make boats out of. By the way, he said the new boat ran just fine.

Don’t forget to visit: www.georgiaredfish.org and sign the petition to make Redfish a game fish here in our state.

Yellow Bluff has live shrimp and minnows and the folks at the Sunbury Crab Company and Marina have live minnows and fresh shrimp.

So remember what Ol’ Tight Line says and get out there and get fishing. And if you do, always remember to keep a tight line.

I always say, hit the docks, keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down.

Your buddy,

Tight Line Jr.
