Hello friends, I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Well, it looks like trout were pulling Santa’s sleigh this year, and this little bit is what I have to report.
Jake Beasly, Dale Jones and Hub Powell recently landed 28 trout. John Rogers went out solo and caught 10 gator trout.
John went fishing with Wells and netted 19 trout. Rodney Hall and his party brought in 15 sheepshead. Mr. Buddy Lanier was out fishing for two days and hauled in 18 trout, four spottail bass and two nice-sized black drum.
Roger Schofill and his party, using live shrimp, caught the limit on trout two days running. Shawn “The Gnat” Branson, Chris McCinhon and Morris Slade landed 23 sheepshead, 17 black drum and seven spottail bass. I think they caught some Miller High Life, too.
Sissy Woods had just a bucket and some electric chicken — no ice and no net — yet she landed seven gator trout.
Yellow Bluff has live shrimp, minnows and fiddlers. Halfmoon has live shrimp, while Sunbury Crab Company and Marina has live shrimp and minnows.
So remember what Ole Tight Line says, get out there and go fishing. And if you do, always keep a tight line. I always say, hit the docks, keep a sharp eye, and watch that cork go down.

Your buddy,
Tight Line Jr.
