I have some good fishing reports this week. Most of the fishing reports were given to me by Rayburn Goodman, from Yellow Bluff fishing camp. But, Donnie Branch, my son, caught a 6-1/2 lb, 25-inch bass just off Planting Hammock on Tuesday.
Yellow Bluff’s fishing reports are: Stan Kane and party landed 44 sheephead; Mike Bell, fishing with Billy Myrick, Willie Dawe and Sunny, were able to catch 30 sheephead and three black drum; Bing Phillips, fishing with Robert and Ronnie Mobley and party, landed 30 black bass and 40 blue fish.
Goodman has a good supply of live minnows and he is trying to get some live fiddlers by the weekend. We will have some good fishing tides until the 14th of the month, before we have spring tides. We should start catching some trout in April.
Take a fishing trip, just remember if you do go fishing to always keep a tight line.
