One way to cut a few slices off your golf game is to get fit and maintain it with exercise. "There is a direct relationship between golf and your overall physical well being," Dr. Jacques Beauchamp, cofounder of Spine and Sport Prevention, told members of the Hinesville Rotary Club Tuesday. The physical therapy clinic, headquartered in Effingham County, has branches throughout the area, including one in Hinesville, which is building a three-story building in an office park near Liberty Regional Medical Center. Beauchamp said regular exercise will build up anyone’s strength, flexibility and endurance, all which can help golfers improve their scores. And that is on top of other benefits one receives from regular exercise, he said.
