MARIETTA — Entries are now being accepted for the 22nd annual Georgia Senior Championship, which takes place Aug. 27-29 at The Landings Club in Savannah.
The tournament is open to male amateur golfers age 55 and older as of Aug. 27, who are GSGA members.
The format is 54 holes of stroke play over three days. The field will be cut to the low 70 and ties after 36 holes.
In last year's championship event, Spencer Sappington of Milton posted a one-over 217 total to win his fourth title in five years. Alpharetta's Don Marsh and Larry Clark of Cartersville finished tied for second, three strokes behind Sappington.
Qualified players may enter online at the GSGA Web site (www.gsga.org) by clicking the Online Registration quick link. Paper entries are available by request and may also be downloaded as a PDF file via the GSGA website. Entry deadline is Aug. 6 at 5 p.m.
