Fort Morris State Historic Site in east Liberty County is joining other Georgia state parks in offering ranger-led hikes on the first day of 2016.
A historically-attired interpreter will present Revolutionary War soldier talks, musket demonstrations and a guided hike around the fort and its earthenworks at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

Admission to the park is $4.50 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for children 6-8 and younger kids get in free..
