Hello everyone, Tight Line Jr. here, sending well wishes to all you folks who fish and to all the people out there who just like to read the article.

I hope you have safe and happy Memorial Day. I would like to say God bless all of the men and women who serve our country. And God bless all the veterans. You are the reason we all live free and I say thank you.

Now here are a few reports out of Yellow Bluff Marina.

Bubba Crawley was out fishing with David Rogers and caught 18 trout. Danny Goodman and party landed 19 sheepshead, now that’s a mess of fish. Phillip Bohannan was out fishing with his wife and netted eight spottail bass and four flounder. Dale and Garrett Smith had 15 flounder and five spottails. There’s a day well spent wetting a hook.

Stan Cain, fishing offshore, landed three nice cobia.

Rayburn at Yellow Bulff says he has Florida shrimp, minnows and some fiddlers. Halfmoon reports having live shrimp. Sunbury Crab Co. and Marina report having live shrimp and minnows. Big Rudy at the Sunbury Country store says he has frozen shrimp and finger mullet.

In closing, I would like to send a prayer for Sheriff J. Don Martin’s family. Something I forgot last week is to say goodbye to Capt. J.W. Morgan, a friend to my father, Ol’ Tight Line, and our family for many years. Happy sailing, Cap.

Well, remember, what Ol’ Tight Line always said and get out there and go fishing. And, if you do, remember to keep a tight line.

I say hit the docks, keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down. Now do me a favor, get out there and wet a hook.

Your Buddy,

Tight Line Jr.
