Its cold, so head for deeper waters

Hello, everyone. Tight Line Jr. here, trying to keep warm in the chilly weather. I hope everyone had a great holiday season and had fun ringing in the New Year.

Well folks, it sure has been cold, but you can still wet a hook — just fish in deeper waters. Rayburn at Yellow Bluff said he still has live shrimp, but they won’t stay alive long in shallow water.

I was told some nice trout were caught about a week ago in Planting Hammock. The lucky fishermen preferred to remain anonymous.

By the way, Ol’ Tight Line is at home and doing well. He says hello to everyone.

The dock tour landed two great catches in the past week or so. Boo Hall caught a spottail bass about 20 inches long and I caught a four-pound drum.

We would like to welcome Tina Rogers back home. We are all glad she is doing better. We want to send out a prayer to Sheriff Don Martin. I hope he gets to come home soon.

Remember what Ol’ Tight Line says and get out there and get fishing. And if you do, always remember to keep a tight line. I always say keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down. Now go wet a hook.

Your friend,

Tight Line Jr.
