The Long County High School boys’ basketball team defeated Pierce County Friday night by a score of 77-70 in Blackshear. The win was the Blue Tide’s fifth in their last six games, improving their overall record to 7-5 and their Region 2-AA mark to 5-2. Results from the Lady Tide’s game were not available by press time. Both squads were at Wayne County on Saturday night.
The Bradwell Institute boys took a 64-56 victory against Windsor Forest in Savannah Friday night to improve to 6-5 overall and 5-1 in Region 3-AAAAA. The Lady Tigers lost a close match against the Lady Knights, falling 58-54. They are 5-7 overall and 3-3 in the region.
Bradwell plays again Tuesday at Islands High School.
