Shawn and Jodi Weed of Richmond Hill spotted three manatees recently while fishing for cobia off St. Catherines Sound.

“We have lived here for over 10 years and have seen many interesting animal life here and heard of manatee sightings,” he said. “But this was the first time we, or anyone we know, has taken a picture of them.”
