BRUNSWICK — A joint meeting of the Coastal Marshlands and Shore Protection committees is set for 9 a.m. Friday, May 4, at the Coastal EMC building, 1265 Highway 17 in Midway.
Coastal Marshlands Protection Act and Shore Protection Act issues and permit applications to be discussed include:
Shore Protection Act requests:
• Shore Protection Act Permit Application, T.D. Stewart Company, LLC, Sailfish, Hotel and Landscaping, St. Simons Island, Glynn County.
• Shore Protection Act Permit Application, John J. Powers, pool, pool terrace, porches, and landscaping, Sea Island, Glynn County.
Coastal Marshlands Protection Act Requests:
• Coastal Marshlands Protection Act Permit Application, MID-ROC, LLC, Tranquility on the South Newport, community dock, South Newport River, McIntosh County.
• Coastal Marshlands Protection Act Permit Application, Tolomato Partners, LLLP, modification to CMPA Permit 453, community boat ramp facility, Hudson Creek, McIntosh County.
• Coastal Marshlands Protection Act Permit Application, Savannah Bulk Terminals, LLC. existing wharf modification, Savannah River, Savannah, Chatham County.
• Coastal Marshlands Protection Act Permit Application, Ocean Inlet Court, community dock, Atlantic Ocean, Chatham County.

Noel Holcomb, commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources, serves as chairman for the Coastal Marshlands Protection and Shore Protection Committees. H.E. “Sonny” Timmerman of Liberty County, Henry Williams Jr. of Camden County, Richard Eckberg of Chatham County, and Leslie Mattingly of Glynn County serve as committee members. Coastal Resources Division staff serves as support to the committee.
The meeting is being held in a facility that is accessible to people with disabilities.
