STATESBORO — Ogeechee Riverkeeper has announced the dates and locations for this summer’s paddle trip series, which runs through September.

Each trip will highlight a different section of the river, from narrow black waters to broad coastal areas.

The four trips, one each month, will be dedicated to unique sections of the Ogeechee or Canoochee rivers. The sections will be explored by members, families and friends of the Ogeechee Riverkeeper.

"These are family friendly events and we welcome new paddlers to come with us," Riverkeeper Chandra Brown said.

The one-day trips will include picnic and photography opportunities, as well as educational instruction on plants and wildlife.

Schedule:

• July 10: Lower Ogeechee River, Savannah-Ogeechee Canal to Kings Ferry. Starts at high tide, TBA.

• Aug. 7: Coastal Ogeechee Basin, location TBA.

• Sept. 25: Ogeechee Riverkeeper Membership Paddle, TBA.
