Where: Fort McAllister Historic Site, Richmond Hill

What: Learn about the last days of this Confederate fort before its capture during Gen. Sherman’s "March to the Sea."

When: Sunday, Dec. 13

Where: Wormsloe Historic Site, Savannah

What: Join a Christ-
mas celebration 18th-century style, with caroling and dancing, the burning of a yule log, holiday observances of the Colonial period, games and refreshments.

• A Colonial Christmas

When: Saturday, Dec. 19, 5-8 p.m.

Where: Fort Morris Historic Site, Midway

What: Get away from the commercialization of the holidays and visit the site for a peaceful celebration. Join park staff for colonial refreshments, a yule log, bonfire, 18th century music, caroling, dance and firing of the Christmas guns.

• Luminary Fun Night with Santa

When: Saturday, Dec. 19

Where: Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah

What: Bring your kids and pets for pictures with Santa, then walk an enchanted luminary trail, do holiday arts and crafts and enjoy caroling on hayrides. There will be holiday treats, hot chocolate and warm cider while you explore a nature museum with wildlife, fossil exhibits and live animals. $3 picture with Santa.
