Garrison dinner

Labor Day at
Fort McAllister

Coastal Georgia
Festival

• Saturday, Sept. 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Crooked River State Park in St. Marys.

Cathead Creek canoe excursion

• Saturday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m. at Fort King George Historic Site in Darien.

A 3-mile trip through the old rice canals with a variety of plants and wildlife. (Intermediate) Cost: $25 per person, all trips include canoes, paddles and life jackets. Participants are responsible for their own food and other amenities. Info: (912) 437-4770.
