BRUNSWICK — The roar of high speed racing drama kicks off the stock car season when Golden Isles Speedway opens its gates on Wednesday for the Super Bowl of Racing III.
With big money purses for the week offering winner’s shares of $10,000 on Friday night and $12,000 Saturday night, a star-studded list of who’s who in American short-track action will begin rolling through the pit gates on Tuesday night in preparation for the four huge nights of competition.  NASCAR veteran Kenny Schrader is among the big names who will battle for the checkered flag each night joining Scott Bloomquist, Billy Moyer, Donnie Moran, Freddy Smith, Earl Pearson and a list that will include nearly one hundred late model drivers from all over the country.
Golden Isles Speedway is on US Highway 82, 12 miles west of I-95. Grandstand gates open at 3 p.m. each day with qualifying beginning at 6. General admission for adults is $20 for each of the first three nights and $25 on the final night. Reserved ticket and camping spots may be obtained by calling the track at (912) 778-3767.
