Teens accused of robbing drunken tourists on beach

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. — Police say they’ve have arrested two teenagers from Pooler who are accused of robbing tourists who were passed out drunk on the beach in Tybee Island.
Police told the Savannah Morning News that the female teens rummaged through the pockets of two drunk and unconscious men from North Carolina shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday on the beach near Tybee Pier.
Detective Jason Heckman said the teens stole basically everything the men had, including their cell phones, keys and wallets.
Police said a witness saw the robbery and called 911, and the teens were arrested and charged with robbery.
