Thats a mess of trout

Hello, everyone. Tight Line Jr. here.

Well, the weather has not been that great for fishing, but I do have one report to whet your whistle.

Mike Lay, Mike Stewart and Ricky Lytle went out for three days of fishing, three hours each day, and landed 45 trout per day. They were using live shrimp around the Harris Neck area. That’s what you call a good mess of fish.

On a separate note, for all you folks concerned about the water plant project, there is a meeting at Old Liberty Elementary at 7 p.m. Jan. 27.

Tight Line Jr. and Co-captain Lu will be there, so come out and find out what is happening in our area.

Rayburn Goodman at Yellow Bluff reported having live shrimp and minnows. Dana at Half Moon said they have live shrimp, and Clay and Joe from the Sunbury Crab Company and Marina have frozen shrimp and minnows.

So remember what Ol’ Tight Line says and get out there and get fishing — and if you do, always remember to keep a tight line.

I say, hit the docks, keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down.

Your buddy,

Tight Line Jr.
