Hello, friends and fellow anglers. Tight Line Jr. here, and the trout are in the river. Here are a couple of reports from around the coast.

David Fennel and party landed 28 whiting. Jason Jones and party netted 40 whiting. I went on a solo dock tour last weekend and landed two three-and-a-half-pound trout. That’s what we call "gator" down here. My buddy "Rod-n-Real" Robbins netted four nice trout and a whiting in one outing.

The next day he took his wife Barbara and they landed eight whiting and one was 16 inches long. Now that’s a bull.

Yellow Bluff reports having live shrimp and minnows. They also have a few fiddlers. Half Moon has fresh bait and the Sunbury Crab Company and Marina has live minnows and fresh bait.

So remember what Ol’ Tight Line says and get out there and get fishing. And if you do, always remember to keep a tight line. I always say hit the dock, keep a sharp eye and watch the cork go down.
