Trout a common catch right now

Hello friends and fellow fishermen, Tight Line Jr. here. Ol’ Tight Line says hello to everyone, and he hopes you are doing well and catching fish.

Here’s a few reports from around the coastal area.

Shawn Branson was out fishing with Jake Horton and netted 19 trout. Uncle W.L. Hall, fishing in the Julienton River on Wednesday caught his limit on trout. The following day was better because Uncle had his grandson, Slad Hall, with him and together they hauled in 19 trout and a flounder.

The dock tour this weekend featured C. Loyd, better known as "Hippie," Boo Hall and Al Ramsey. Together, we docked 10 croakers, two sheepshead and three black drum.

Yellow Bluff has live shrimp and minnows. Halfmoon Marina has live shrimp and Sunbury Crab Company has live minnows and fresh refrigerated bait.

Big Rudy at the Sunbury Country Store said he has frozen shrimp, squid, ballyhoo and finger mullet.

Remember what Ol’ Tight Line says and get out there and go fishing. And remember if you do, always keep a tight line.

I always say hit the docks, keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down.

Your buddy,

Tight Line Jr.
