What do you think about trout sizes?

Tight Line Jr., here and I hope everyone is doing well. Not much on reports this weeks, but I do have one.

Little Miss Hanna Rogers went fishing with her dad, John Rogers, and her grandfather, John Henry. She landed eight big catfish and boy, what a time she had. She will be catching fish for a long time to come.

Just a thought, I would like to see what all you fishermen think. I would like to see the size limit on trout go from 13 inches to 15 inches. Also, I would like to see the catch limit go from 15 per person to 10. What this would do, in roughly two or three years, is allow us to start catching larger trout.

After all, a 13 inch trout is just too small to keep — just my opinion.

Halfmoon Marina has live shrimp and Yellow Bluff has live shrimp and minnows and some fiddlers. Sunbury Crab Company and Marina Reports have fresh frozen bait and live minnows.

Come out and see Tight Line Jr. at the Sunbury Crab Company Marina the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, March 14. We are planning an early start on things.

Well remember what Ol’ Tight Line says and get out there and go fishing. And if you do, always remember to keep a tight line. I always say, hit the dock, keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down.

Your buddy,

Tight Line Jr.
