BRUNSWICK, GA-August 26, 2021— PlayReaders, Golden Isles Arts & Humanities’ book club focused on reading and discussing a variety of plays, returns with award-winning comedies and dramas that are sure to inspire great discussion.

PlayReaders starts on September 28 to discuss Henrik Ibsen’s explosive and acutely relevant play An Enemy of the People that pits brother against brother as one attempts to expose a public health threat and the other works to suppress the story. On October 26, participants will discuss One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, adapted from Ken Kesey’s novel for the stage by Dale Wasserman. Future plays to be discussed include The School for Scandal by Richard Brinsley Sheridan, King Lear by William Shakespeare, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone by August Wilson, The Seagull by Anton Chekov, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller.

PlayReaders is open to all experience levels, so whether you are hooked on drama or have never read a script before, this is a fun and lively discussion group that explores works by great playwrights.
