According to Lt. Brad Sykes with the Richmond Hill Police Department, authorities are searching for three inmates who escaped a transport van shortly after 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the TA Truck Stop at exit 87 in Richmond Hill.

Sykes said one white male and two white females who escaped on foot were not wearing traditional prison uniforms and may have been wearing civilian clothing. Canine units from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office as well as Bryan and DNR are searching the area of the truck stop for the escaped inmates.
